Who hasn’t been there with their Prusa mini? Binding on the end of the X arm? It happens all to frequently and is one of the major annoyances with the Prusa Mini. What we have here is a redesigned Mini X End. When you tighten the 2 screws on the Mini End, you are creating a torsional interference on the 2 8mm Rods. They are not in alignment and because of this, no matter how hard you try, you will get binding. The two m3 bolts have been replaced by 4 opposing m3 bolts which solidly clamp on to your 8mm rods, eliminating the torsional play inherent in the original piece. No more binding.
But wait, there’s more!
Further, in the design, you now no longer have to take your entire X-carriage apart to adjust or replace the belts, the bearing housing now is no longer captured, allowing you to pull the 624h bearing out form the rear of the Mini End!
All required hardware provided, simply swap in your 623h bearing and tighten down the m3 bolts and you are on the road to smooth alignment on your 8mm rods!
• Stiffer in all directions, less twisting
• better long term stability (should hold alignment better)
• can take out the Pulley easily (if you want to change something on the x carriage you don’t have to remove the X-End)
• less wear as all screws have metal to thread into
(Mini End is printed in Prusament Orange or Prusament Black to exactly match your Mini!)
